I'm thrilled to share one of my all-time favorite quick and easy dinner ideas — the Loose Meat Sandwich, aka Copycat Maid Rite Recipe!
Ingredients
Method
- Add the ground beef and onions in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Break up the ground beef into crumbles and cook until the onions are softened, and there is no pink left in the meat, occasionally stirring for about 10 minutes.
- Drain any excess oil. Add the stock, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, and stir to combine.
- Bring to a simmer, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 10-15 minutes until most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Serve immediately on burger buns with dill pickles if desired.
