jeffraben.com is a personal website run by Jeff Raben for his family and friends. It is free, it sells nothing, and it is offered as-is. Using it means accepting the following.
Accounts
- Accounts are created by the site owner for people he knows. There is no public sign-up; you can ask for one, and he decides.
- You choose your own PIN. Keep it to yourself and do not sign in as somebody else.
- Tell the owner if you think someone else has got into your account.
- An account can be closed at any time, by you or by the owner.
What you add
- What you add stays yours. By adding it you are allowing it to be shown on this site to other people who can see that section.
- Only add things you have the right to add. Don't upload other people's copyrighted material as though it were yours.
- Nothing unlawful, abusive, or deliberately misleading.
- Anything can be edited or removed by the site owner — it's his site, and mostly this means fixing typos.
Text messages
If you give a mobile number, it is used only to send you a sign-in link or an account notice. Reply STOP to stop receiving them and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. See the privacy policy for the rest.
Availability
This runs on modest hosting as a hobby. It may be slow, break, or go away for a while. There is no uptime promise. Keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose — though backups are taken and nobody is trying to lose your recipes.
No warranty, no liability
The site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the site owner is not liable for any loss arising from using it — including lost data. Cooking times, temperatures and recipes are shared in good faith; use your own judgement in the kitchen.
Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top will say when. Carrying on using the site means the new version applies.
